We have a new format of Kids Classes.. Every Sunday, from 10 am to Noon, up to 6 Kids will make a special Present for someone in their Family.
The Classes are 50.- Dollars per Sunday ( Materials included) and will run from now until Febuary.
The Kids will be making / decorating Picture frames, Jewellery boxes, Birdhouses, Treasure chests and so much more.
Here are a few examples of what we did so far…


The Month of December, we will be concentrating on pottery painting .The pieces will be painted by the kids , then fired and glazed and are ready to be picked up a week later
The Schedule is as follows:
SUNDAY 5 TH OF JANUARY: Painting a vase ( Glazing and firing included)
SUNDAY 12 TH OF JANUARY: Painting a coffeemug ( Glazing and firing included)
SUNDAY 19 TH OF JANUARY: Painting a plate ( Glazing and firing included)
SUNDAY 26 TH OF JANUARY: Painting a Piggy bank( Glazing and firing included)

The Girls have completed the Starry Night assignment. And they did fabulously!!!

The Paintings are acrylic, papertissue and glue on 18 by 24 inch canvas.

The first painting seminar went exceptionally well.
Take a look at what the Ladies did!!!!
The theme was green pears on a white plate against a black background. We painted from a photograph and worked on the pieces for 4 weeks, 2 hours a week.
This is the result and it is stunning!!!
This is a pic of the work in progress and Susanne creating her masterpiece….



These Oil paintings are on wood board, 11 by 14 inches. The first piece was created by Susanne, the second by Wendy and the third by Lettie.. Congratulations, Ladies , on a beautiful completed still life!!!

This is the project for Novembers Kids class.
We will fist scetch on a 16 by 20 canvas. Then the fun will start. Well take lots of tissue paper, roll it up and paste it with lots and lots of glue on the canvas. The finished pice will have almost the same texture as the original..
Plus.. we are guaranteed to have a great time!!!

The Kids did a fantastic job making the stage and puppets and performing the play for the parents.

The kids in the fist Multimedia seminar did exeptionaly well.
First , they constructed and decorated a Stage out of cardboard , with lots and lots of glue , paint and anything else we could decorate a castle with. Then , they made Characters for the play out of Fimo, decorated the backdrops, made props and now we are ready to perform!!! 4 weeks of really hard work and lot of giggles. I will post the finished Play on U tube once we perfected the performance.

For your interest I am posting a series of photos capturing the stages of an emerging Oil Portrait.
I have started by priming my canvas with a dark grey. I personally like painting on wooden boards, the painting surface is much smoother.
Then I “sketched” the image onto the canvas, using a fine brush and dark Umber. After that, I darkened the areas which appear to be in the shadows in the photo.
The next step was to apply color to the painting, and to start working out the details.

Inspired by attending a recent seminar with renowned painter Michael Fuchs, Patricia is looking forward to teaching oil painting in old masters style.
Classes officially start in October. You can try out your skills on a still life or bring a few portrait photos to choose from.
Patricia will be offering 5 week classes in two hour sessions. Classes are on Tuesdays from 12:30 to 2:30.
